COME TO ME BABY
A recall workshop to teach your dog to reliably come when called
Coming soon
Does your dog run the other way when you call her, ignore you when there are distractions, or dart out the door and run around the neighborhood? Coming when called can be a life-saving behavior. Many dogs don't come when called, because their humans aren't sure how to teach this behavior. We will give you the skills to build a better bond with your dog and give him a good reason to come to you even among distractions like food, toys and other dogs. We will help you teach your dog to be more focused on you and teach your dog that coming to you quickly is very rewarding.
You will learn how to avoid the common mistakes people make. You will gain the skills to practice with your dog outside of class and improve your dog's reliability.
Bring a hungry dog and a variety of high-value food like meat. No kibble, crumbly food or hard biscuits.
This workshop is not appropriate for dogs who exhibit excessive barking and lunging around other dogs and humans. Please talk with us about alternative training if your dog tends to be reactive.
Space is limited.

Does your dog pull you down the street when you try to walk him on leash? Learn why this is a common problem and learn the skills to reward your dog for walking with you on a loose leash. There are a number of medical-related conditions in dogs and their humans as a result of leash pulling. Our goal is to teach you a leash walking technique that is safe and enjoyable for everyone. Types of humane equipment and their uses will be discussed. No pinch collars or choke chains. Collars or harness recommended.

We started at puppy social classes so Moxie Blue, our Weimaraner, could safely play and socialize with other puppies early on. Cheryl does an excellent job communicating to the people how to respond to your dogs behavior. She helped us be clear, calm and confident. Once we had that down, Moxie was happy to comply. Cheryl also helped us maintain positive/reward based training. Who knew the ball can be such a powerful training tool! Moxie loves her ball! Thanks to Cheryl and her hands on training we can bring Moxie with us wherever we go. She is two years old now and we receive compliments on how well behaved she is all of the time.
