SMALL GROUP CLASSES

Canine Life Skills

Puppies, adolescents and adult dogs benefit from learning some manners and life skills?  This class will teach you some skills to motivate your dog and help improve his focus.  You will learn to teach your dog a variety of behaviors (sit,down, stay, settle, come, leave it, leash manners, polite greetings, go to the mat and more).  These skills will be taught while gradually increasing difficulty and distractions.

Intermediate Training and Tricks

Dog handlers will learn to get quicker and more reliable responses while adding distractions and challenges. We'll work on improving impulse control, responding quicker to coming when called, walking on a loose leash with distractions, greeting politely, staying in place until released and more. Working on tricks and mental exercises makes it fun for all and builds a better bond between dogs and their humans.

Prerequisite: Dogs should have taken a basic obedience class or puppy kindergarten class or have instructor's approval.

Longer stays on the mat in the intermediate class.

 

 

Cheryl does an excellent job communicating to the people how to respond to your dogs behavior. She helped us be clear, calm and confident. Cheryl also helped us maintain positive/reward based training. Who knew the ball can be such a powerful training tool!  Moxie loves her ball!   Thanks to Cheryl and her hands on training we can bring Moxie with us wherever we go and we receive compliments on how well behaved she is all of the time.
